William S. Brinson, Sr., 64, of Dillwyn passed peacefully on August 18, 2016 at Heritage Hall.  He was a retired commercial fishing boat captain in Frisco NC, Wancheese, NC and Norfolk, VA during his career.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Hufham Brinson; two sons, Steven S. Brinson and wife, Mary and Matthew W. Brinson; brother, Michael W. Brinson; niece, Laura Brinson and numerous other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents Wilbur and Zelma Brinson and son, William S. Brinson, Jr.

Private services will be held at a later date.  Dunkum Funeral Home is serving the family.
