Jimmie Wayne Stout, 77, of Dillwyn, passed peacefully at his home on November 18, 2016.  He was born April 1, 1939 in Butler, Tennessee, a son of the late Ercel Wayne and Leona Cates Stout.  He was a retired shop supervisor for the Virginia Department of Transportation.

Jim is survived by his wife, Margaret Gormus Stout; son, Rex Wayne Stout; daughter, Annette S. Alktami; step-son, Brian Shumaker; four sisters, Dimple Huddleston, Joyce Banton, Janet Bain and Violet Carson; two brothers, Paul Stout and Carl Stout; special granddaughters, Jessica Myers and Laura Stellate; five grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home with interment in the Stout Family Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 19, 2016 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
