Helen Rose Smith Milligan, 58, of Buckingham, passed peacefully on October 8, 2017 following a lengthy illness.  Helen was born October 15, 1958 in Norfolk, a daughter of the late Clifton J. Smith, Sr. and the late Annie Collins Hodges.

She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Michael L. Milligan; daughter, Sarah M. Milligan of Portland, Oregon; sister, Judy Ann Smith of Appomattox and brother, Samuel D. Smith (Melissa) of Buckingham.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Clifton J. Smith, Jr.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
