Darlene Davis Christian, 69, of New Canton, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2017 in Richmond.  She was born June 24, 1947 in Buckingham, Virginia, a daughter of the late Walter M. Davis Sr. and Anna Call Davis of Dillwyn.  She was the widow of James Donald Christian.  She was also preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Davis and a brother-in-law, Buddy Palmore.

She is survived by one brother, Walter M. Davis Jr. of Richmond; sisters, Betty Guthrie and husband, Billy  of Appomattox, Mary Dunkum and husband, Ronald of Dillwyn and Peggy Palmore of Dillwyn. She was loved by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  

She enjoyed sitting on the porch, putting together puzzles, having family gatherings, and watching the younger children play.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 16 from 1-2 p.m. at Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn with a service to follow at 2pm with burial being held at Buckingham Community Cemetery.
