Charles Sidney “Pete” Moss, 84, of Midlothian, died September 22, 2016.  He was born in Buckingham County on October 5, 1931, a son of the late Joe P. Moss, Jr. and Flossie M.  Moss.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Norma Lukhard Moss; two sons, Daniel Wade Moss of Georgia and Forrest Dean Moss of Midlothian; two grandchildren, Cutler of Texas and Hayley of Powhatan and a sister-in-law, Charlotte Lukhard Bednar and her husband Richie Bednar, of Old Church.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Crafton and two brothers, Singleton Moss and Joe P. (Jack) Moss III.

He was a member of Salisbury Presbyterian Church.  A graduate of University of Richmond, he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity and a lifetime member of the Boatwright Society. He was a U. S. Air Force veteran.

A graveside service with military honors will be held Monday, September 26, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Buckingham Community Cemetery.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Salisbury Presbyterian Church, followed by a reception.
