Annie May Parker, 81, of Columbia entered into eternal life on Saturday, October 15, 2016.  She is now walking hand in hand with her beloved husband, Jack.

She was born March 31, 1935 in Buckingham County, a daughter of the late John Luther and Fannie Pyle Lightfoot.

She will be dearly missed by her children, Michael Parker and his wife, Lisa, Danny Lightfoot and his wife, Kim, Luci Meinhard and her husband, Troy and Dennis Parker and his wife, Christal; two sisters, Betty Smelcer and Joyce Martin; seven grandchildren, Tiffany Clarke and her husband, David, Emilee Meinhard, Amber Lightfoot, John Meinhard, Anna Parker, Justin Parker and Jack Parker and her precious dog, Rose.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hester “Jack” Parker; five sisters, Beulah Durham, Mary Carwile, Nellie Jamerson, Blanche Bryant and Ann Shipp and two brothers, Julian Lightfoot and Jimmy Lightfoot.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Cartersville Community Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Cartersville Volunteer Fire Dept., P O Box 38, Cartersville, VA 23027 or the Cartersville Volunteer Rescue Squad, P O Box 15, Cartersville, VA 23027.
